In the Court of King's Bench on November 28 a rule to prevent assignment of articled clerk Samuel Geoffay to Mr Harman was denied. Lord Kenyon noted Geoffay had no certificate at the time of the application, requiring assignment to a different professional. Godfrey refused but the court ordered assignment.
