East Indies near Outredroog May 17 1792 reports joining the grand army bound for Seringapatam around the 21st or 22nd. Purserama Buow wins a victory taking eleven cannon as forts surrender. Bombay sepoys and Maratha horse break enemy lines. Detailed unit rosters and forces listed. Also discusses civil and religious liberty in France with reflections on monarchy, pride, and the rights of men urging self examination and restraint.
A Lincolnshire servant named Tuomas Hott was severely afflicted with sores and acorbatic humour after a furfeit. After using five five-shilling bottles of Spirspury’s Drops from Folkingham, his sores healed and health improved, enabling him to return to work. Witnesses William Ward and Son, Folkingham. Drops sold at Soho Square and Hall and Co Dublin with King’s Patent since 1773.
In the House of Lords the order of business included recalling members at a quarter past five to report to the Commons and continue the trial on Wednesday next. Lord Grenville moved that all Lords be summoned to consider the Majesty's Proclamation. The session adjourned to the following day.
The Marquis of Abercorn urges support for an address to the King after condemning seditious writings and clubs. The Lords debate the Proclamation’s aims to curb insurrection while defending the Constitution and public order. The Prince of Wales voices firm support for Constitutional liberties and a concurrence with the Commons.
