Crang Hancock Instruments Offered Under Royal Patent

Abolition Committee Thanks Wilberforce Pitt Fox Leaders

London April 26 1791 a committee of the Society for Abolition of the Slave Trade resolves to thank William Wilberforce and William Pitt and Charles James Fox for their unwearied efforts. The group vows to persist in appealing to conscience until commerce with Africa ends the bloodshed. Granville Sharp chairs the committee signs off with firm resolve.

Memoirs of the Chevalier D Eon De Braumont Life Fancy

A fragmentary 1794 notice details the life of Mademoiselle D Eon, later Chevalier D Eon. It chronicles her diplomatic service in London, pensions from Louis XV, and a volatile career in which she served as minister plenipotentiary, fought in battles, and was twice wounded. The text notes her education, ascent in law, and martial roles with the French army, plus disputes with Guerchy and possible future missions to Russia.
