Storace the Italian violinist and composer

Storace, son of Stephen Storace of Italy, rose as a child prodigy in music. He studied in Italy, then Bath and London, performing demanding violin parts and strings, and later joined Drury Lane with limited originality outside his quartets and finales. He married the daughter of Mr.iall the engraver and had children, dying March 15, 1796, from a stomach gout complication. His career drew patrons but his melodic airs pleased yet did not always fit Poetry. The Drury Lane proprietors faced difficulty replacing Storace in the musical line.
