A secret committee of the House of Commons, printed yesterday, states it is necessary to provide for the confirmation and continuance for a limited time of measures taken under the Order of Council on February 76. Parliament should determine the duration those measures may be continued.
An apparent government briefing classifying foreign emigrants in London into three groups. It warns vigilance over dangerous foreigners while extending hospitality to non disruptive residents. It lists numbers of clergy laypeople and various émigrés and stresses policing to curb Jacobin influence.
In 1797 the Philanthropic Society of St George's Fields appeals for public subscriptions and January February donations to support an institution rescuing infant poor from vice.
