GUTTER THEATRE DREAMS IN LONDON TOWERS
A lively vent talks of three London playhouses Bow and Bow, wow, wow. It argues for a great house every night at the small one and mocks modern brick and mortal morals. The speaker urges honest Londoners to bring families to see evolving stage entertainments. The piece ribbingly notes Lafe enlarging and asks for a theatre fit for giants and three horses, underlining the town’s appetite for spectacles.

Review of the Codstream regiment and Levee at St James
Friday notes a review of the Codstream regiment of Foot Guards and grenadiers at Sydenham Common, a Levee at St James's, and University of Camperee presenting an Address to the King. Reports on Franco-Austrian fighting lack solid authority, Taunton remains at St James’s, and Lord Macartney’s embassy plans are outlined with arts science exhibits and interpreters. A Devon Castle meeting endorses the Proclamation and a toast salutes Mrs Latouche’s philanthropy, with a list of ships preparing for a summer cruise under Lord Hoop.
