Writ for Newry seat debated as Corry and Chancellorship rise

In the Irish Parliament the House met with the Speaker in the chair. Lord Castlereagh moved for a writ to elect a Member for Newry to replace Isaac Corry as Chancellor of the Exchequer. The motion was withdrawn after acknowledgement of the legal stay, and the House adjourned to consider the Address to His Majesty. Lord Coe moved thanks to militia and fencibles for protecting the loyal populace, a motion Castlereagh supported as timely.
