Opera review of Panthron opening and La Pafforella Nobile cast
The Panthron opened Saturday evening with little change in the House of Performers. The five Chilling Boxes now flip to suit Amateurs from the gallery and the hall looked cold with the weather. La Pafforella Nobile displays excellent music and witty situations led by Laxsarini Cipriani and Caffentini. Favorites include Damme Amore, La mia Tenera, and I mio bene by Lazsarni Cafentai. The first act finale is strong and the overture lively. Joan Burr notes no encore in the evening. Dances credit Ballet Master Hillisberg and Dauberval with Laborie showing graceful attitudes. The Cascade in La Fontaine d Ansour stands out among scenery. A new drop of the Pantheon interior is sketched but the color is too dull for brilliance. The Prince of Wales applauds Hittispere in the Divertisement.
