Ireland Sees Royal Visitors and Military Movement

The Earl of Scagsosouca and the Earl of Hardwices arrived at Kearnes's Hotel in Kildare Street. A Baplith Attorney was arrested at Atine Street, Stephen's Green, under a warrant from the two earls, while King’s Meffer s, Duke of Portland's Office, had papers seized. A 6000-strong militia marched to Rogerson's Quays and embarked for England. The Roman Catholic Chapel of Enniscorthy was burnt. In Cork news, six cows were cruelly mauled on Lady Corrutasi’s lands, one carried through the city. Will to establish vast Woodford will upheld by court

The Court of Chancery, in a two hour argument, upheld the executors’ claim to establish the Will of Peter Thellusson. Judges Laurence Butter and the Master of the Rolls rejected objections that the executory devises and trust fell outside law. They affirmed the will’s legality and directed further proceedings to plan its execution.
