Charity plan to aid widows and children of seamen and soldiers

A meeting of the Upper South Division of Aylesford approved a plan to promote the London Society for the relief of widows and children of seamen and soldiers who may die or be killed in service during the war. Subscriptions were to be collected in parishes, with bequests to the society’s funds and a next committee meeting set for the 23rd at noon.

East India Charter Negotiations Report 1793

The Court of Directors of the East India Company forwarded to Proprietors the further proceedings in the charter negotiation with Mr Dundas. It includes a letter from Henry Dundas dated April 7 1793 and a committee report approved April 17 1793. Dundas notes apparent incompleteness in the resolutions and offers explanations.
