Fair 10 Date Shows Strong Attendance and Dairy Wins
The Fair drew about 8000 visitors over its three closing days despite dust and intermittent showers. Dairy exhibits led with Minister Logan praising the top quality butter display, while roots and vegetables from S E Turner gardens drew high praise. Livestock showed solid purebred cattle entries, with hogs light and sheep sparse, and poultry mostly local. The fair opened Friday with Vean Rutherford of Saskatchewan University addressing war effort ties and farm support, followed by racing and a crowded grandstand.
