FINE BAND CONCERTGoIS RED CROSS AIDofstaCentral park was well filled with Ba people Sunday gathered to hear the caj concert by the Royal Highlanders 101 band under the auspices of the Yeo-i man lodge of Fairfield as a war relief benefit, while the streets about the park were filled with autos, many of, them apparently having come from a considerable distance . ,The concert was most enjoyable, the program consisting of greatly varied selections. A feature of the concert was the singing by Bobby j Broiler, who responded to numerous encores. “‘Hail to Old Glory,” a late /p composition by Prof Jewell, director of the Fairfield band, was played with a spirit to give the composer delight in the rendering. “Here’s to Our Boys,” a composition by Clifford Thoma, was sung by Mr. Broiler to band accompaniment and was greeted ® with great applause. .About $145 above expenses was m made by the sale of tags during the ™ concert and this was given to the local Red Cross. “jor
