'Miss Edith Sawyer, who formerly taught at Buell is spending a few days with Mrs M. A Brownell, west of Lucerne. Miss Sawyer will teach in Eaton this year.After fifteen davs vacation. H W. Hixon returned to work yesterday carrying the rural route from Lucerne office.Mrs Charles Franciseo entertained at 5 o’clock tea Wednesday forMlMr and Mrs. Wilius Thompson and • their daughters, Misses Laura and Aline. In the evening a small company of old school mates end friends i were invited to hear a long and varied musical program given by Miss Aline, who is an accomplished musl-ean and leaves soon for the east to 1 continue her studies.
