Messiah chorus is preparing programThe Highland Community Messiah Chorus is practicing on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the large practice room at the Highland High School building on Highway 218 between Ainsworth and Riverside. There are five rehearsals remaining — time enough for those who have sung this music and enjoy singing the Messiah to join the group More chorus members are needed, especially in the bass and tenor sections. The chorus will present the Christmas section of The Messiah at 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Dec. 12, in the Highland High School Gymnasium. This program is sponsored by the Highland Music Boosters. There will be no admission charge. Following the concert a reception will be held in the cafetoriumare Gene Anderson, tenor;Marilyn Davis, soprano; Carol Hodges, contralto; Carroll Stegall, bass; and Irene Trotter, soprano. Accompanists are Maurine Roberts, Martha Skubal and Clarice Stegall. Mrs Trotter will direct the chorus and Mr Anderson will direct the orchestra, which will play the Overtureand the Pastoral Symphony Members of the chorus and orchestra come from IowaCitv, Mount Vernon, Hills, Lone Tree,*■Riverside, Ainsworth and Washington
