Submitted to us this week were several such histories, written by fourth and fifth grade students at Windfall School).The Clouser Family By Jimmy Clouser tirade 4My grandfather, Leo Clouser, gave me the history ofhis amily -in the community of Windfall.He was born March 10, 1894, one of the sons of Ben and Sadia Bell (Mitchell) Clouser. He had three brothers. and one sister.. His father and mother started housekeeping two-and-one half .miles north • and one-and one-fourth mile east of Windfall, then moved in a section one-mile east of Windfall.He attended eight years of '3 school, which was located two-and-one-half miles east of the town. The site of the old school house has been made into a home where Mr; and Mrs. Ray Legg now live.Grandpa Leo remembers the' old mud roads, a few log cabins and quite a few changes in.the town of Windfall itself.By being a farmer, which he and his ancestors were, as far back as he can remember, he. didn't get to Windfall too often.My grandfather and grandmother were married in 1915 and are the parents of 13 children.; They have lived in this community (except for 18 years which were spent in Randolph County).
