'Staccatos Due' For Family NightStage Band Ready To Set the BeatThe popular high school combo, the “Staccatos,” has been added to the list of entertainment for tomorrow night’s gala Family Fun Night in the high school gymnasium.The event, open to everyone will feature many former Minstrel Show soloists, fhe Minstrel stage band and a large array of prizes and surprises.Mrs. Allan F. Barnard, show producer, said the “Staccatos” will play for the twist contest— only one phase of dance competition planned as a highlight of the program.Members of the group include Fredric Rosa, trombone; Becky Trumpy, piano; Urs Gafner. tenor saxophone; Becky Houser, drums, George Ray-mer, Sousaphone; Fredric Moritz, cornet, and Phyllis Mohns, j clarinet.Charles (Chuck) Figi, veteran interlocutor for past Minstrel events, will be master of cere monies and Allan F. Barnard will be musical director and arranger.Welcomes will be given by Kurt Schwager. Lions president, and Stanley Neuberger, City Band president.Proceeds from tomorrow night’s event, held with prom decorations for a South Sea island backdrop, will go to civic projects. It is sponsored by the Lions Club and the City Band.The two organizations were forced to abandon plans for the Minstrel Showr this year because of reduced rehearsal area during the junior high school build-j ing project, so they decided to j offer their friends a bonus. Family Fun Xight is that bonus, jThere will be entertainment I and a stage show for those persons who do not want to dance. Among the vocalists will be Robert Buehler, Archie Myers, I Charles Figi, Don Siedschlag, William Rollins. Stanley Neuberger, Forrest Kubly, J. T. Et-ter. Herman Schmitz, Dr. Robert Smith and Charles Mathias.Members of the dance stage band include:Hollis Schilt, Stanley Neuberger, Van Steiner and Fredric Moritz, trumpets; Frederick S. Voegeli, William Lanz. Fredric Rosa and Richard Schwarze, trombones;Charles Buehler, Melody Wel-lenkotter. Lou Ann Colden, Sandra Fritz and William Flaherty, saxophones; Vicki Neuberger, piano; Karl Gmur, string bass; Linda Disch, drums, and Barnard, director.
