Given.The Grand opera house was full to the doors Tuesday night,the event being the annual St. Patrick’s day celebration of the Immaculate Conception church. An excellent program wasigiven including two addresses full ofinterest, the speakers being Hon. Martin H. Carmody, of Grand Rapids, and the Hon. George G. Covell, of Traverse City.The first number on the program wag a medley of Irish airs by Stewart’s orchestra. This orchestra furnished the music for the evening and the selections were not only well chosen but were rendered so pleasingly that the applause was libera! and frequent. .The second number was “Voices of Spring,” Ruberstein's Melody in F. This was given by about one hundred little birls and boys and was not only pretty but the song was well sung and the little folks received much applause. The grouping was very pret-ty, the varl-colored costumes offering a very pleasing contrast.The third number was a beautiful thing, being a Star-Shamrock” dril.
