As a parent and a husband, and because he has sponsored athletics and other activities for many yers. he has a keen understanding of youth and their problems, with solutions which would benefit the youth. His services have affected all ages.Having known Brownwood citizens. Bennie Houston can communicate with them, work with them, and help them in o team effort to make this o better city in which to work, live, and raise families. His record stands for itself. in so far as his dedication to working together with people of all races, hard work, and civic achievements.Bennie Houston wasone of the founders of Help Our Town Improvement Club and has served as president since its beginning. Their chief concern is to establish rapport with members of every community and to improve the surroundings therein. They have sponsored o teenage employment agency, and an awards banquet for the most outstanding teenager in the community. This year the organizational ospiration is to furnish scholarships for participating winners who intend to continue their education either vocational or academic.Bennie Houstonhas never been and never will be a fence straddler.” People will always know his position on matters of vital concern.
