Detroit firm buys WJW-AMCLEVELAND (AP) - Lake Erie Radio Co. agreed Thursday to sell AM radio station WJW in Cleveland to Booth American Co. of Detroit.Lake Erie needed to find a buyer for WJW so it could proceed With plans to buy WWWE-AM and WDOK-FM in Cleveland from Gannett Broadcasting. ^ ^Both deals*miist be approved^ by the Federal Communications, Commission. - r:Booth American owns radio-stations in Detroit. Cincinnati, Toledo, South Bend, Ind., and Saginaw, Mich. It also owns WLTF-FM in Cleveland.Lake Erie Radio is owned by Cleveland Browns majorityowner Art Modell and A1 Lerner.
