SCOUTS-BROWNEESGirl Scout Troop No. 1 met at the Ilibrary at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday af- I ternoon with eight regular mem-1 bers present. It was a special I meeting called to honor all the girlsu in the group. Each one received I the badges she had earned, and her I attendance star for the year. IMarilyn Pope, Susan Hinshaw I and Kay Patterson advanced from I the gioup of Brownies. They re- I peated their Scout laws and prom- I ise and received their Scout pins. I At the business session election I of officers was held, with the fol-1 lowing elected: IPresident, Susan Bramel; vice I president, Betty Jo Ball; secretary, I Wanda Leisure; treasurer, Marilyn I Leisure; song leader, Susan Hin-1 shaw; game leader, Marilyn Pope; I publicity girl, Lois Hankins. The I group voted the snn flower as their Icrest. I- As it was the No. 1 birthday of I the troop, they were treated by their leader, Mrs. Heim, at the drug I store, which was enjoyed by all. J The next meeting will be held I Tuesday, August 5, at the library at 2:00 p. m. Please attend. IBrownies Scout organization held 1 their Court of Honor Tuesday at I the library. Brownies who became Girl Scouts were: Kay Patterson, Susan Hinshaw and Marilyn Pope. New girls who repeated the Brownie Promise and became Brownies were: Judy Hearne, Dianna Carroll, Becky Johnson.Refrsehments at the drug store were served to the following: Kay Addison, Pamela Hunt, Janice Johnson, Sheryl Mosier, Beth Roberts, Mrs. Ruth Hunt, Leone Mosier, Clyde Johnson, Mrs. Maxine | Carroll and son and Brownie Leader Hazel Roberts and the newBrownies.
