Wednesday at the Bothw'ell Memorial hospital, after an illness of ten days with complications developing Into septic pneumonia.Physicians did everything possibleto save him, even calling a specialist from Kansas City, but to no avail.Mr. McCurdy was 41 years old on December 7. On June 11, 1018 he was married to Miss Lillian May who survives, as do two sons, Robert, aged 15, and Jimmie, aged 14. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. McCurdy also survive. A third son, Dickie, aged « passed away on May S of this year.Mr. McCurdy attended Sedaliahigh school and the University of Missouri Agricultural college. He was one of Pettis County's most prominent farmers and stockmen, operating in partnership with hisfather.He was born and reared on the farm on which he resided up to his death and which was also his father’s boyhood home. He was a most devoted husband, father and son. He took a great interest in his sons’ school work and other activities. He was never too busy to be a companion to his sons, always providing the proper type of entertainment for them and entering whole heartedly into games with them.
