Jack Mullane and Miss Wentworth deserve much credit for a praiseworthy effort. Although there may have been slight dramatic ability on the part of some members of the cast, as a company the group gave evidence of considerabletalent. IThe bounds of a limited stage and unwieldy properties were matters of small importance when contrasted with the unlimited enthusiasm and honest effort on the part of the players. ' IMiss Beverley possesses a voice of marked quality and of wide range, which she handles well. Although in the role of Arline Miss Beverley did not have the opportunities for dramatic display that came to the capable talents ; J; of Miss Sherman as the queen, she: ‘ showed histrionic talent used with adequate restraint. Miss Sherman brought intelligence and artistry to her part and in her duet with Roland Speer, as Dev-ilshoof in the first part of the second act, rhe gave proof of her ability as a singer and as an actress.Four dancers who came in for a large share of the applause from an audience that filled the ballroom of the club were Peggy Little. Tacie Luckett, Bernice Stevens and Claire Edson. Ivy Stevens, a specialty dancer, was seen briefly in intricate turns. A small but excellently trained chorus had a prominent share in the success of the per-fcrins hopMiss Wentworth was the stage producer and musical director and sh? accompanied at the piano for the entire performance.
