SURPRISE DINNER.About thirty-five guests were pres- ' ent at a surprise dinner given at the: home of O. E. Dixon, Friday evening, in honor of Marcus Dixon’s birthday. The invitations announced that each guest was to. bring an apron. Soon after the arrival of the guests each one was presented with a slip of paper stating his particular duty towards the preparation of the dinner. The dinner which included fried chicken and everything that goes with it was served on the dawn. Gainesand music on the porches and lawn furnished the entertainment.
