Leatrice Joy Loved By Rich and Poor Men in New Picture■‘Triumph/' Cecil De Mice’s latest production, now showing at the Columbia theater, depicts human qualities Imbedded in the make-up of every man and woman. While Jt lacks the spectacular features of the 4,Ter. Cora-matdments, the human interest in the photoplay makes the presentation exceedingly interesting.The story concerns a rich man and a poor man, each in love with a young woman ambitious to be an opera singer. The opening scene is laid in a can factory, where the embryo prlma donna, portrayed by Leatrice Joy, la employed as a forewoman.One of her lovers Is the manager of the factory, the other is a coworker. Destiny plays an Important part throughout the picture; the manager becomes penr.iless, the poor man a millionaire and the girl forced back to the factory after a hectic life on the stage.The thrills In the picture are supplied in ar: exciting automobile chase and a hotel fire, in which Miss Joy is rescued In the nick of time.Other members of the cast are Rod La Roque, Victor Varconl. Theodore Kosloff, Robert Sdeson, Julia Faye, George Fawcett, Zasu Plus, Alma Bennett and Jimmie Adams.Aesop’s fables and an International News reel complete the program.
