XIX—No. 17Pirates Of The Lak$s To Give Musical RevueTomorrow Night In Community Auditorium Benefit Lake County Hospital(The “Pirates of the Lakes” are all ready to appear in Mount Dora tomorrow night, Friday the 26th, in a husical revue to 1 be presented in the Community Building, to entertain what is expected to be a large audience, and raise a fund for the Lake County Medical Center, to purchase a new blood transfusion machine.The stage is rapidly becoming the scene of a pirate ship with brilliant sail on a boulder strewn coast, with colorful sky in the background, a fitting setting for the pirates to sing their choruses, and for the special dance numbers on the beach. That the stage setting will be artistic in every respect, as well as appropriate to the occasion, is assured by the fact that Mr. H. N. Gallie, L. I,F. A., of Eustis, is lending his talents to the setting, with Charles Johnston, Major Merryweather and Lieut. Pearce, who is general chairman of the affair. Properties have been furnished by the Wise Boat Works, Rehbaum Crane and oth ers, Mr. Vincent and his boys of the manual training department giving their services, and many the ladies assisting.The pirates who will give several chorus numbers are Raymond Perkins, Frank Hall, Cliff White, Dan Dowd, Kenneth Horney and Lieut. Pearce, of Mount Dora, Messrs. Barton Mumaw, Rush Ball and Ma jor Merryweather, of Eustis. Mr. Mumaw is directing the choruses and accompanists are Mrs. FlorenceG. Hanscom and Lieut. Pearce. The girls who will come to visit the pirates and join with them for mixed choruses are Misses Maxine Saltsman, Barbara Hopcraft, Mes-dames Fletcher Crane, Wm. Vincent and Paul Ault, of Mount Dora, Mes dames Mumaw and Rice and Miss Katherine Schumacher, of Eustis.Among the special numbers will be a solo, “Isle of Capri,” by Raymond Perkins and dance numbers, one by Miss Katherine Schumacher and one by Miss Barbara Hopcraft and Wayne Richardson.Dr. A. M. Brodie will preside and announce the continuity of the numbers.Tickets may be secured from any of those taking part, or from the Chamber of Commerce or the Topic.1
