City council met with Mayor Bell presiding to discuss the Ald Peel street improvement by law, second reading amended and laid over. Twelve more street lights were ordered mainly for Vernon road and Salmon Arm road north of Knight street, while Mr Roseman’s magistrate salary was raised to 15 dollars per cent. a small supply was ordered and a loan for McCormick approved. For illicit liquor cases, David Kindascot and Peter Quinn appeared before Magistrate Roseman, both pleaded guilty. Kindascot fined 25 dollars and costs, Quinn jailed three months with 50 dollars and costs. An South African land warrant for sales valued at 950 dollars was noted.
