A 600 meter long new lighting run connects four Laugarbakka junctions to the school district and a 1.0 km extension along Midfjardarvegur toward Laugarbakka will power lighting. Costs and installation are funded by the road authority, with the municipality covering indoor lighting maintenance. Hvammstanga RARIK staff recommended the four posts for the plan. The project aims to improve school access safety and traffic flow at the school boundary.
