Australian Museum staff led by Mr Hi Fletcher and Mr G C Clutton returned from an extensive dig at Cuddie Springs near Brewarrina. Large trenches yielded bones of giant marsupials and a potentially new enormous bird, with leg bones and jaw holes among the finds. A Gilgoin meteorite specimen was also shown to the museum party.
