Lipscombe Farewelled by Lungog Circle Friendly Society
Miss M Lipscombe was farewelled by Lungog Circle Friendly Society on a Monday night. Members included president Mrs A W Moore and officers such as vice president Maniel M Stallen secretary M Saint Smith treasurer R L Deards chaplain M Dark and several others. Apologies were received from Miss Deards and Miss Lina Collings. The society presented a cut glass token and praised Lipscombe for her faithful service as treasurer and loyal church member. The treasurer reported £5 paid to the Dungog Patriote Fund and a plan to ask the Rector to buy four lectern Bibles for the parish church.
