They plan to photograph Stockton Newcastle environs and the Blue Mountains area. Inclement weather limited shooting but a strong image in the Sun and Newcastle Sun previews the height and scenery for tourists.

St Andrew's Women's Guild Plans September Rural Fete
St Andrew's Women's Guild held its June meeting with apologies from several members. Votes of sympathy were offered for Mrs Damod on her bereavement. The group discussed the upcoming rural fete in September to fund church painting and repairs. A letter of thanks from Mrs Holland praised the guild for garments provided, and another note from Ray D T Rees expressed gratitude for the guild’s support of unemployed Christmas dinners.

Stroud Shire Council Adopts Wind ing Road Sign Plan
The Divisional Engineer of the Main Roads Board informs Stroudshire Council that fewer danger signs are better as drivers notice them more. A winding road sign will be erected at each end of narrow bad sections with white painted stones marking curves for clearer guidance. Arrangements with the Shire Engineer include placing stones on the worst curves under the 1983 Main Roads Programme.
