He represented New South Wales and Queensland Country Press in the Australian delegation to the Empire Press Conference in London.

A daylight express train traveling north along the coast struck and collected a cow wedged between wooden sleepers at Wallarobba railway crossing. The animal, from Mr J Holstein's farm, was freed by his son Frank just before the collision but was eventually hit as the train forced to stop 400 yards later. The train was held for 11 minutes while the cow carcass was removed.
A state funeral was held for Mr. Ernie Farrar at St Andrew's Cathedral on Tuesday. Farrar, 74, served as President of the Legislative Council and had been a council member since 1912. He held ministerial posts in the Fuller Government and later the Bawin Ministry, dying after a long illness at St Ronan's Hospital Manly. He leaves a widow and one child.
The Hunter Valley Sporting Car Club held a 12 hour endurance night trial over a 415 mile route. All 12 cars were damaged. eight finished. Cars departed Stockton at 7 pm Saturday, pounding through towns amid cyclonic weather. Floods and river water stalled two cars. others suffered radiator, sump, gearbox, suspension, and bumper damage. Weather and bogging hindered most, with winners unnamed as officials awaited returns. A forged £10 note surfaced in Newcastle, part of a spate of forgeries across three states.

Champion bird went to A B Forbes of Bandon Grove for an Indiana Game Hen, while Vic Middlebrook claimed the champion bantam with a Romecombe A C male. Local exhibitors GIS included Forbes, Hancock, Laney, Middlebrook, Sith, and Taylor, winning several pullet, cockerel, and bantam prizes across Indian Game, Australorp, Plymouth Rock, Leghorn, Silkies, and Silver Wyandotte classes.
