On the eve of departure for Bellingen Mr R J Dawson and Mrs Dawson were hosted by the Returned Soldier League Memorial Club and Wattle Chair at Memorial Hall. Speakers praised Dawson as a dedicated Digger and treasurer whose work strengthened funds. A presentation and a token came from the Associate Club and Wattle Club. Dawson pledged duty to fellow Dig gers and hinted at a future return. Music, singing, and supper followed the tributes.
