News from Madrid and Paris describe the news of the King of Spain’s deliverance, celebrated with public rejoicings, artillery reports, and theater preparations in Paris. The Duke of Angentone is expected to be welcomed with celebrations as Paris responds to the event. The messenger who carried details to Paris left Madrid on the sixth at midnight and reached Port St Mary on the seventh.
Port St Mary reports from late September a letter warning of renewed hostilities as royal liberty is debated. The Cortes seek terms with French generals while the King resists negotiations, amid anarchy and threats to leaders and guards.

Detachments from the 21st Fusileers, the West India regiments, and local militia defeated rebels at multiple estates, with whites released from stocks and numerous insurgents killed or dispersed.
Report describes a tense confrontation where an armed slave revolt met regular troops. About 1000 enslaved people are said to have muskets and fired on the forces. troops returned fire and several were killed. The Governor offered pardons to those who surrendered within 48 hours.
