Michaelmas Day honors William Bristowr as Sovereign of Belfast, who hosted an elegant entertainment. In Douglas, seventy Manx fishing smacks with crews totaling about 500 left their town. In Limerick, a man was robbed by three footpads near the Square. John Creaghe, Esq., was born Mayor, with George Smyth, Robert Wallace, and Samuel Hunter, junior, sheriffs. Four detainees were shipped from Ennis to Dublin for Nova Scotia.
