On Monday night the 1gth or Tuesday morning the 76th instant November some wicked persons entered the Archbishop of Dublin’s palace in Kevin-Breet and murdered James Gardiner the Porter and Margaret Tighe the house maid and set fires to the palace in several places. A reward of one hundred pounds will be paid by Robert Lord Archbishop to any who apprehend and prosecute to conviction within six months the offender or offenders or an accomplice who will disclose the perpetrators so they may be captured and convicted. Dublin Castle 26th November 1787. Their Excellencies the Lords Justices grant a free pardon to any who first discover their accomplice or accomplices, except the person who committed the offenses. By their Excellencies Command S. Hamilton.

By the LORD Lord Lieutenant and Council of Ireland publish a reward for discovery and conviction of those who since 1786 destroyed turnpike gates on the Dublin to Malahide road, broke into houses, or fired shots. Rewards of one hundred pounds sterling per offender are offered, with a royal pardon for those the Crown pardons upon confession. Authorities urged to prosecute and deter further outrage, Dublin June 15 1727.
