London and Dublin notices report Privy Council moves, court verdicts, military commissions, and appointments including Thomas Walpole and others. Entries cover ship arrivals, mutinies at Riga, Cumberland departure for the Continent, and a Dublin absentee tax debate amid a wide array of local crimes, births, and deaths.
London reports advise of renewed conflict in India with Tippoo Sahib strengthening against the Marhattas. Key figures Sir Eyre Coote and General Hart are mentioned amid battles at Geriah and Cuddalore, with peace hopes fading and reflections on mismanagement and distant campaigns.
