An 1787 notice from the Adjutant General’s Office requests New York field officers and those in Dublin to register their names and attend a forthcoming procession. It directs officers, captains, and navy captains in the ranks to submit to the office for the necessary proclamations and instructions.
Pretoria district report notes that the Lords Justices will provide an au face service on Tuesdays and Fridays from one to four for residents. This notice outlines planned public access times and confirms the schedule for November 1987.
The Cothreanding Officers of various Recruitsearches are directed to send returns of their regiments upon the British Establishments. They must report the state of their parties and serving persons to Charles in Sunioay, Ely, at the War Office in Dublin.
Shaw announces soups and dinners at No 119 Capel Street with daily meals and a winter season soup from six till ten o clock. A larder stocked with the best seasonal fare and wines accompanies the service. Large rooms suit dinners clubs and Freemasons with claret in pint bottles at a shilling and sixpence.
Professors will commence lectures on medicine at Trinity College Dublin on Monday November 5. Topics include Materia Medica Institutes of Medicine Anatomy and Surgery Chemistry and Bracken of Medicine with clinical lectures by Cullen and Brereton. Attendance at hospital at 11 is noted. A brief submission titled Case 1s is addressed to the Humane and Charitable and those with affluence. The text signals a formal appeal or petition though details are sparse, indicating a call for consideration or aid.
Dut ch flower roots and seedlings from Edward Bray, Nuclery and Seedsman, at Merchants Quay. Landed from the Ann and Elizabeth, Captain Allen, from Rotterdam. A vast collection of double red roe hyacinths, white and blue hyacinths, narcy varieties, and multiple seedling stocks. Bray advertises large quantities at reduced prices with a capable gardener and steward available for recommendations. Apply as above.
Thomas Walker of No 79 Dame Street announces remaining tickets for the Irish Lottery sale ending Monday November 12. He touts £40,000 prize security at his bank funded office, warns against spurious tickets, lists prize recipients, and urges public confidence in Walker’s guarantees and country correspondents for safe payments and advantageous terms.
Tickets and shares offered for the 4l. ros. Irish Spate Lottery by Caleb Jenkin at No. 5 Dame-street. Purchasers may pay varied sums to obtain tickets or shares, with options for Guinea and half Guinea tickets and several prize scales. Jenkin allows exchange for rights in tickets or shares and related ventures.
A notice from Strong Staymaker of High Street announces he continues to make stays of every kind and invites friends and the public to place orders. He promises his usual diligent attention and gratefully requests patronage for future work.
Daniel of Rathcoyle announces new carmine stables on James Lane Mary Street for horses carriages and drivers. A show bond guarantees free horses from the holder’s house in Rashcnole to any tether fence once.
The board warns all residents to give due notice before pulling down houses or walls and to stop new encroachments before old fronts. It states a twenty pound fine and strict action for violations, and vows not to overlook any failure to serve proper notice or encroachments beyond established boundaries.
Notices call for plans and estimates for a new House of Industry due by the first Monday in November. A prize of twenty guineas will be awarded for the approved plan. Enquiries at the House of Industry Kathedamane Church Street. The deadline extended to November 5 by order of Samuel Paul, Secretary.
