Dublin News: Ships in Distress and Local Obits 1750
In Dublin a ship bound for Lisbon with merchants' money was in distress, and two other vessels, Humphry Lare from London and Lockerman of Bristol, were nearby. The Cxfarea, Ratta from Cyprus to Venice, was captured by Tripoly, while Jeresalaem Giocas struggled with a Tripoline attack before docking at Alexandria. Public officials faced prosecutions for transporting prisoners to homes instead of prisons.
