A notice from May 2 1864 proposes selling lands of CURBALLIS near Williams town in Meath county. County Galway auction listing by executors Malachy Donelan and Michael Burke announces sale of 500 ewes and lambs, 300 two year old ewes, 300 yearling wethers, 25 Rams, 160 choice cattle, 100 two year olds, cows and poultry, brood mares, horses, and hunting hunters. Attendance and payment terms set with stock and property to be withdrawn if bid conditions not met. Estate at Heathfield and Ballydonelan properties, with house, offices, and garden offered for immediate reception.
In County Meath a notice announces the sale of estates and forty acres joining the land of thadinflown in the Meath region. The matter refers to Ralph BT Hy and includes terms for a three year trust. Also Prince of Wales's Irish Regiment, Colonel Doyle, states intent to move to England with detachments and invites claims or dues to be presented promptly.
May 24 1794 dispatch from the British court announces a drawn out indecisive engagement with the Combined Army near Tournay. British right wing under Wallmoden and Hanoverians held firm while seven Austrian battalions and British brigades supported a counter attack driving the French back and into retreat. Casualties include multiple officers and enlisted men wounded or killed with heavy fighting near Pontechin and Espierre.
