Principles of Political Economy and Taxation Review
An 19th century critique of Ricardo’s theory. Navid Micado paraphrases key principles that value rests on labor, explains how wages affect distribution of profits and prices, and discusses implications for capital flows, taxation, and free trade. It argues real price equals toil and that higher wages squeeze profits, potentially prompting capital abroad, under Britain’s conditions.
