Irish Parliament Debates On Militia Bills And Public Donations

Trial Over Flaxseed Case Yields Damages For Plaintiffs

In Dublin the Court of Common Pleas and Special Jury heard a major flaxseed dispute. Plaintiffs Byrne Randall McDonnell Wade claimed damages after seed sold by Cork firm Callaghan and Co was unsound and distributed via their factors. Jury returned £836 4s 5d and costs. Friday saw five women arrested in Rainsford in a related coinage case and committed for trial.
