Drawing Room at the Castle Promoted in Early April
March 24 1814 reports a drawing room at the Castle on Thursday evening April 4. A French proclamation from St Jean de Luz through the Duke d Angoulême arouses cheers in Bourdeaux with 50 000 people shouting Vive le Roi. Dispatches note Bourbon restoration reception across the continent and a Mayoral address printed before British troops arrive.

Mail robbery report and arrests in Kilkenny letter
Istawell March 71 notes Dublin Mail was robbed by four armed men at three this morning. Nine of the assailants who fired on the Derry Mail on the 18th are said to have been captured by Mr. John Armstrong High Constable of Dougheda. A Kilkenny theft describes thieves climbing Mary street house walls and stealing clothes and wearables from Rev. James Worrall's back kitchen.
