Inquest on Coffy Delivers Wilful Murder Verdict

Sunday last the Mayor held an inquest on John Coffy wounded at Newport fair. Verdict Wilful murder against unidentified persons. Friends bearing Coffy’s body faced attack near Newport with a large clash leaving many wounded. Nearby Kilrish estates visited by Jobo and Ralph Wentropp, tenants display loyalty with bonfires and music.

Wellington dispatch reports large prisoner haul after action

Despatch from Bruxelles dated June 19 1814 to Earl Bathurst notes about 5000 prisoners captured after yesterday's action with 2000 more expected. It names Count Lobau commander of the 6th corps and General Cambrone of the Guards and says the prisoners will be sent to England via Ostend.
