Destructive Almaraz Bridge Assault By Hill's Expedition

General Hill led a bold night assault at Almaraz, destroying the bridge works and fortifications. Napoleon and Ragusa forts fell after a fierce assault by Portuguese and British troops. 259 prisoners and 18 cannons captured with light casualties.

Return of British losses at Abmarax bridge May 1812
