A colonial era note from Dublin 1789 addresses Reverend Doctor James Whitlaw, vicar of St Catherine's Parish, thanking him for his efforts to unite inhabitants. Signed by Jam in Houghton, Master. L. Ransford. and Robert Belwood, wardens, the letter commends his virtues and solicits support for the guild’s harmony and parish revenues.
Notice from the paving office dated June 22 17894 states the board will let by auction on July 6 at one o clock the cleansing of the streets of the city and county of Dublin. Streets are divided into lots with names of a number of streets. details available to any person who applies. Signed Card Cladwell.
Advertises Stallion Bacchus to cover mares at Carton Seaton for one Guinea and a Crowns to groom. James Brady of Cari, NB handles applications. Also promotes Good Grate at Carton and a Cream-colored stallion about seven hands high with a fine gait.
