Thoroughbred Stallion Sales and Kerry Races Advertised
A long 1740s Irish advertisement describes mares to be served by several stallions including YOUNG CHILDERS bred by the Duke of Devonshire and Young Sterling at Stonehall, with details on prices per leap and groom fees. It lists Kerry Castle Island races with purses and heats, land sales in multiple counties, ship cargoes, and public notices on estates and mortgages. The document preserves names like William Scooly, Duke of Bolton, and John Sterling, plus places Castle Plunket and Dublin, with dates and bids toward offices and auctions across Ireland.
