Insolvent Debtor Petition Notice in Kilkenny Ireland 1818

Thomas Duigan of Kilkenny publishes formal notice that his petition under Acts for relief of insolvent debtors in Ireland has been presented to the Lord Mayor and Serjeant Court. He states readiness for examination and that the matter will be taken up on a specified date in 1819, with names of creditors listed and a schedule filed.

Speaker Sutton Is Chosen In The Commons In Royal Fashion

The House of Lords and Commons opened with Mr M Sutton being presented as Speaker. Bonaparte Reported In Declining Health At Sea

The Prince Regent has arrived from the Caped Good Hope and touched at St Helens bringing advices dated the 24th. It is widely believed on the Island that Bonaparte was unwell, with reports from a recent Antwerp Dutch paper noting his very bad health and suggesting death could be imminent. A vessel from China, calling at St Helens for water, carried similar accounts.
