The Rev. Doctor Kyle of Trinity College seeks applications for a qualified assistant position. December week 1 notice advises interested parties to apply for the post, with liberal norms provided.
The Corporation of Cooks in Dublin presented the Freedom of their ancient guild in a silver box with an accompanying address to General Sir Arthur Wellesley on Christmas Quarter Day 1809. Wellesley replied from Dublin Castle expressing gratitude for the honor and praising the army's bravery in Portugal. Oaths were then administered in the usual form.
The Michaelmas Term Grand Jury expresses warm approval of Alderman Trevor late Lord Mayor of Dublin for his public conduct in discharging duties as Chief Magistrate. They commend his upright vigilant administration, praise his justice for rich and poor, and note the suppression of baker unrest in the city. They extend unanimous thanks as a record of their opinion and gratitude.
