County High Sheriffs and List of Appointed Gentlemen
A long, fragmented 19th century county notice lists names proposed or appointed for the office of high sheriff across multiple counties including Armagh, Carlow, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Down, Dublin, Fermanagh, Galway, Kerry, Kilkenny, King's County, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Queens, Roscommon, Tipperary, Tyrone, and Waterford. The document names titled individuals such as Hercules Pakenham, Thoms Molyneux, Fitzherbert Ruxton, and Edward Wingfield among many others, with numerous hall names, estates, and family connections woven throughout the list. The form resembles a formal appointment roster or electoral confirmation from the era, though many entries are garbled or partially legible.
