About six thirty a number of villains broke into the dwelling of Mr Hughes, a farmer, after evading a guard at an out-house. They seized cash and a bag of valuables totaling around one hundred and forty pounds, leaving bonds and papers undisturbed. No further violence occurred before they fled with the booty.
